Twenty-six winners of the global “The Call to be a Legend” competition lived an unforgettable experience on May 23, achieving their dream of playing a football game at Manchester United’s legendary Old Trafford stadium.
The winners, from Chile, Uruguay, the UK, South Korea, Singapore and China, enjoyed two full days of activities living the complete Manchester United experience, culminating in the main prize: an unforgettable match at the “Theatre of Dreams”, the impressive stadium of the Red Devils.
There was even more excitement when three legends of the English team were spotted waiting for the participants on the pitch to join in the historic game. That is how Park Ji-sung, Quinton Fortune and David May – to great applause – greeted each of the excited players.
During the whole clash, Alan Keegan, Old Trafford’s famed commentator of 20 years’ standing, described the action and cheered on each team in what was an exciting, competitive, enjoyable and, above all, legendary football match.
It all ended with a meal in one of the stadium’s VIP lounges, where the satisfied participants could share with club legends in pleasant and relaxed surrounds.
